Commons Standing Stone, Leitrim

Commons Standing Stone I think almost every megalithic enthusiast will have heard about or visited the amazing portal tomb at Fenagh Beg, but in the townlands around Fenagh there are possibly six standing stones and a double court tomb here at Commons. About 500 metres north of the court tomb stands this huge 2.5 metre high conglomerate megalth, visible from the R209 on google street map. It is aligned NNE-SSW. A second stone in commons townland appears to be missing but there are three more standing stones in Knockmullin Townland to the east of here.
Situated: The standing stone is located on farmland about 200 metres east of the visitor centre on the R209. It is clearly visible from the roadway, but maybe hidden behind farm buildings if approaching from the east. Discovery Map 33: H 1077 3079. Last visit .
